To properly encapsulate what the game of hockey has done for my life would not only be a difficult task, but would ultimately fail to do justice to all the positivity it has brought to my life and career. Growing up in Los Angeles in the late 80’s and early 90’s, I was very much swept up in the hockey craze generated by the arrival of Wayne Gretzky and the rise to prominence of the Los Angeles Kings. My tenure as a player began at a young age in SCAHA and culminated in representing the country of Armenia in the IIHF World Championships between 2005 and 2008. In 2010, I made the transition to coaching and had the privilege of serving as an assistant coach for the Armenian National Team in the 2010 games.

I have been coaching in SCAHA for nearly 15 years and in that time, I have discovered the type of coach I am and the kind of coach I always strive to be. As a coach, my style is geared toward teaching and mentoring young men and women in their pursuit of self-realization both on and off the ice. Teamwork, respect, dedication and the ability to recognize and maximize opportunities are some of the building blocks that make up the foundation for my coaching philosophy. Being able to play hockey is an incredible privilege. The only thing that’s even more of a privilege is coaching hockey, and that’s something that I never forget.
